I am enjoying this read so far but I’m starting to not like W.E.B Du Bois. I am conflicted in this feeling because of the word he has don’t for African Americans but his behavior and treatment to Jessie is unacceptable.

As a plus sized girl I don’t like how it harps on her size in some interactions. I mean it’s a troupe but it bothers me that it’s such a big deal in certain parts. Maybe I haven’t experienced the same type of interactions but it bothers me that some do

The story is wild and the commentary from the characters could only be in books but crazy enough this might actually be someone’s life. Continues to turn the pages

And another thing….. stay off the damn hwy!!!! At this point y’all need to let regular folks know with all them bullets flying

So current thoughts as I’m almost finished reading this book:

Cappadonna: clearly means business but like aren’t you checking in with a CO or something? I mean guy just left prison. Why of all women (momma Jean I’m with you when your right)

Kendra: she is a pain and honestly I dislike every time one of her chapters rolls around. At least Tasha was a present

Alaia: THERAPY NOOOOOOWWWWWWWW

Can these people catch a break!?!? Every page is something new.

Loving it but my heart aches because I would have folded!
