What a wonderful biography! I wish there were more recordings and film of this incredible talented woman. She contributed so much to our common American culture.

Marjory Fleming's diary is especially wonderful. I am learning so much from the biographical information at the beginning of each selection. This book is astonishing!

I loved this book! I enjoyed the mystery unfolding and the references to popular books. I liked that the lead character was imperfect and made hard choices. It was fun to have a book that was nearly impossible to put down.

I feel like the author missed an opportunity to write an epic book. The premise is awesome and when he focuses on describing his experience, it is wonderful. But so much of the commentary is inappropriate that it cannot be recommended as an example of excellence.
