Okay what the title REALLY is? Brilliant.

I actually like that we got a lore chapter when it was relevant, instead of in the prologue, or as an infodump by a character. But that's just me.

I knew the twist (her being alive) was in the synopsis but he never once thought back to the execution.

Pearl's thoughts in the opening of chapter 24 — I'm wondering the same thing, girl.

I'm enjoying this book, but some things just happen WAY too easily or conveniently. The two I remember: when Pearl had to run off, and Lu getting the shell. Just like that, it happened.
