I'm still trying to figure out why it got such mixed reviews back in 2010s. The mystery is compelling, as are the characters. Reads like any modern sci-fi mystery. Maybe it was a bit ahead of its time? Maybe the end will be anticlimactic? We'll see.

I've had this book on my tbr for so many years, like a decade, but I always remembered that the reviews were meh or downright bad. Now that it's a show apparently people are praising it. I was 15 when it came out so maybe it's time to give it a grown-up read. Don't want people spoiling it like they did Leviathan Wakes and the Expanse show.

A quarter into the book, we now learn the hero's journey... I mean, the crow's journey, is going to be the shepherd of domesticated animals now that humanity has fallen.

Indeed a very high fantasy with very low stakes. Viv is an anxious entrepreneur starting a new life as a coffee shop owner. I truly wonder what made this orc change her ways so suddenly.

Like why is this not a show? I would seriously resubscribe to Netflix if I could watch Bob interact to multiple versions of himself for decades 😄

😭 Such a desperate combination of rules and conditions for going back to the past for just a few moments could only attract an increasingly tragic kind of person who would want to go back just to speak to someone... Or, petty. Imagine going back just to tell someone to screw themselves. Jokes aside, these anthologies are so short but so emotional and I can't wait for the next one already.

Notwithstanding the sex scenes I do wish stories like this reached troubled youth. That it does get better, that we're all survivors and that you're not defined by the shitty place and people and situations you happened to be born into and raised by. I just hope it really isn't history repeating itself... Is it gonna end, again, after seven beautiful days?

At a loss of words. These are the realest characters I've read. Finally, people f*ckin talking to each other about sh*t. Normal, absolutely screwed up people tryna move on, say how they feel, talk what they mean, facing the demons of their youth like adult. Then go get ice cream and laugh in the face of traumas fifteen years past.The ability to laugh at the once awful. A survival story. People just living on.

Eva is such an accurate picture of a young-mom-at-twenty now a stressed-mom-at-thirdy with a tween, already well written and portrayed.

I'm disappointed that the only way things went okay with Queen of England is because she literally had to be threatened. I feel like the parade of people outside the palace would have been enough of a strong standing point to build a case on, and there's just so many political and PR things that could have been said about it — but no, we went with threatening the Queen, and I'm supposed to feel good about that.

Wait no, nononononononononooo! Please book, don't pull the whole 'one admits feelings and the other runs away' shtick on me pleaseeee.
