I am so confused by Delemhach. They are a nonbinary author who created a fantasy world that has zero LGBT representation but has very rigid gender roles and lots of sexism. This isn't an historical novel, so these are all deliberate choices. But why?

Giving this another try, but it's more boring than church. I loved the first two, but this one is ROUGH.

This should have been called Task Force Exposition. So much blah, blah, blah with little to no point. It's a slog.

I'm only on chapter two but I feel like I've been reading this forever. Does it ever get good?

I adore Emily Perkins, but the constant battles make this book drag so badly. I'm so freaking bored.

I promised my sister I'd read this book, as she read it and loved it and wants someone to talk to about it. But DEAR GODS reading this is almost like punishment. All of the characters are miserable, self-absorbed sods that I just want to punch. In fact, the MURDERER is the only likeable character. Oh the things we do for people we love.

This book is SO GOOD. I can't wait to have a day off so I can marathon read it.

What in the hell am I reading?!

This book came highly recommended to me, but at only 2% in, it's so racist that I don't know if I can continue! Please say it gets better.

I don't know if I can finish this. It has none of the charm of the movie and the characters are just awful people. I don't think the aunts even have names in the book.

This is the weirdest fucking thing I've ever read but I don't hate it.

This book is written in a discordant way that is both interesting and frustrating. It's a great stylistic choice by the author to convey the issues of the characters, but it also makes *me* feel a little lost.

I don't know if I can finish this. It's written in present tense and that's really jarring. I'm also not intrigued by the plot. It's disappointing because I really wanted to like this book.

I'm so far really disappointed with this title. It's been in my TBR pile for a while, but it's leaving me feeling hollow and unimpressed. There are aspects of this book that are so corny and others that are so distasteful that I'm not even sure I'll finish it.

This book was really moving along, I love the protagonists, but then it came to a grinding halt. I'm so bored that I put this book down for over 24 hours. Going to try to dive back in, because I love the characters so much. It's just frustrating.

I'm having a hard time getting into this as I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as I enjoyed The Ruthless Lady's Guide to Wizardry. It's too male and not enough gay, so far. I'll keep reading only because I liked TRLGtW so much.

This book is SO GOOD. I'm totally hooked.

I don't know if I can even finish this book. It's incredibly boring and literally nothing happens. Every time plot starts to happen, a character will say "We can talk about that later." Like, talk about it now! Make something happen. I think my love of these books is fading.

So far this book is so poorly written that I thought the author was a man. I'm absolutely shocked to discover that a woman doesn't know how to create female characters, and writes so crudely about the torture and suffering of women. I'm not sure I can finish this steaming pile.

Holy crap, does this book ever get good? It's only 329 pages, which I normally read in a day, but I'm having to force myself to get through about ten pages at a time. This is such dreck. I can't believe it even got published.

This book is putting me to sleep. Does it get better?
