This book has started off really well. As a US conservative he tries to steer a theological third way between left and right politics. However when it gets to the questions of whether the church and state could work a middle ground to alleviating poverty etc. he clearly cannot find a middle way and starts pontificating on the right.
Which is a little shallow and disappointing. However the other points are great.
