Too disturbing

How was Jabu not white and stood out.

Have to take points off because I don’t understand why pretend suicide and transferring money would have a trail plus all the name changes.

Not a fan.

I have not finished this book but must note most of these reviews are book reports. You would think an avid reader would know the difference.

It was just too yucky for me with all the sex and depraved thoughts. Yes, I know. It happens but I read for escape and this is a book I wanted to escape from.
Skimmed and the ending was sad and depressing. Life is too hard to read books like this.

I tried to like this story but it was all over the place. I got tired of the rude husband, mean girls, ridiculous situations and boring repeat scenes. Needs editing.

Good job dev characters I tilstory ties together

Very disappointing. Sex became the main course half way through. Why? It was such a good sound story of education and advancement for women only to have a young woman fall in bed with a married man. I also did not understand the 18 year wait for the two main characters to marry.

Turtle pace and boring.

Disappointing and rushed ending.

Enjoying but the newspaper headlines at the beginning of each chapter are very annoying and distracting.

So when did best sellers become teeny bopper books? This was the most trivial bunch of words and story ever written. DNF

This is the most vague book. The author cannot seem to finish a thought. I absolutely thought the characters were shallow and boring. If only the author would have went deeper and wrote less boring passages.

I won’t rate because it just was too much of a chore to finish this book. Second one for me by this author,.no more.

Boring….

Didn’t finish so no rating. About 150 pages in Ijust didn’t see my boredom disappearing.

Just cannot continue this ridiculous slow moving boring story.

The writing was tedious and monotone. I just could not finish.

Could not finish this book. No plot or even storyline just tedious day to day struggle and bitterness.

Not great so far. I have tried other books by this author, I guess I am not a fan.

Great writing and history but this is a bit too tragic.

Could not put this one down. So many stories and each one done to perfection.

Such a great story. Full of history, adventure, relationships and a few mysteries. The surprise ending was a bonus.

This is romance not historical fiction. Frustrating predicaments, tragedies abound, and poverty.
Not very enjoyable.
