he makes valid points about the production of useless crap just to keep the exploitative system of capitalism at work. i disagree with his diagnosis of human consumption and that its psychology is rooted in some sort of sexual perversion. i’ll just chalk that up to his frenchness, of course we know that french philosophers generally are sexual deviants. the real reason is quite simple: brainwashing.

there’s nothing interesting about this character. she has no curiosity about anything metaphysical. this is basically just a farmer’s diary. the character pretends she’s a city girl now having to cope with survival in the forest, but she literally describes every task like she’s some sort of an expert. this book is for vegan teenage girls.

i don’t see the point of this book. i’d rather read lenin, a true eastern revolutionary, than an uptight westerner’s take on communism, filtered through a post-doctoral education in the imperial core. the prologue written in the first-person should’ve been cut entirely, the author’s disingenuous take on 9/11 as if it wasn’t just america’s own hannibal directive. i really dislike western writers.
