It’s depressing that this is real life.

Good book but it reads a bit like a thesis where I feel like I got the point they are trying to make A while ago

This book is really thoughtful and looks at food as an evolution of man. Really thoughtful and interesting, makes me want to try pickling and bread baking and it’s so important to life itself

I decided to read one of the many books I had bought but never touched. This one is was one of my “support an artist” purchases that I started on my Christmas break. Pretty damn interesting. Glad I bought it and I’m glad I’m finally able to read it.

I stopped reading at around 100 pages because this is where she goes off the deep end. The author is passionate but not writing this scientifically. It is extremely bias and cannot be applied outside of the white, western european perspective. What about female oppession in vegetarian societies, what about female oppression in Asia? There were no studies done, just jokes and opinions. Its bonk.

I'm about 1/2 way through the book and I feel like I could keep up with Bear Grylls. There's so much information in this book. I'm currently learning about building shelters in different climates.

I didn't know much about wilderness survival and I just started the book but I've learned a lot so far. Pretty awesome book. Still on what you should pack so I've got a lot to get through

Ah, I haven't read this book in a long time. I put it down and haven't picked it up again. It's a good book but it's definitely written for a younger crowd so lost interest in it, something I never did with Neil's adult books. I do want to know what happens so I'll try to get back into things soon.

I finished the book. It was good and made me think about my own relationships with people when I was living over seas.

I hadn't finished the Graveyard Book but I wanted to start this. This book has a special lure for me because a family member wrote it and I also adapted to being a foreigner in Asia. The author's time abroad is very different from my own but reading his stories touched me. Especially the Venus section, It made me wanna tear.

I'm 2/3rds through the book and I've fallen in love with main characters. My favorite is by far is Silas, who is loving but often distant. This book doesn't give me the same joy to read as American Gods or Anansi Boys did but this is a book for children. I'm curious about when Jack will reappear, probably in the next chapter or two.

I have to admit I have a thing to Neil so I'll probably favor this book more than the average person. So far it's pretty interesting. It's a adolescent book so it's taking some time to connect with the main character but it's really good. On chptr 3.
