I'm not enjoying anything. There is no addictive narrative as in other works by the same author. The only interesting part is Aoname, the female character in the book. She's mysterious and interesting, but she doesn't give away much either. Tengoo is boring. There is nothing interesting about his narrative. I still don't understand why this book is a bestseller.

Tem sido difícil se adaptar à linguagem do Machado, que é bem robusta, mas com o tempo espero me acostumar e a leitura ser mais fluída.

Leio aos poucos, em média 2% por dia. A escrita do Saramago foi difícil de se acostumar no início, mas a essa altura já entendo a escolha de escrita dele. Interpretação linda, humana e sincera da história de Jesus. Cada detalhe mínimo passa pela escrita do autor. Cheguei ao ponto em que Herodes ordena a matança dos menores de 3 anos, por ter tido uma visão de que o rei de Israel nasceu.
