The deeper I get into this book the more I swear it’s a fever dream. I can’t tell if it’s my fever dream or if I’m reading someone else’s. Either way, it’s a trip.

Decided to start this immediately after the first because the cliffhanger of the first sucked me in. Accidentally read all of part 1 in a day, and I can 100% say book 2 is both so much better and darker.
As far as triggers and darkness and terrible things going on, wow it is DARK. But this is so much better as far as story, plot, character development and more.

Okay but in that sick, dark and twisty way, I respect our little kitty cat for showing his true colors to get her to fall in love with him. He’s right, he could have faked it and had her swooning the basic way but that wouldn’t be real and true to just hard dark he is. And her to be fair too.

Ohhhh so that’s what we meant by the gun trigger warning for this book…. Welp… noted, definitely need to make that trigger warning clear for if I recommend this book to anyone. Definitely not everyone’s vibe.

Okay, so obviously Gigi is a freaky grandma. But I don’t think her stalker killed her. So calling it now, I think it was the stalkers boss.
Also, currently lowkey loving this “history repeats itself” theme.

Hell yea Addie, you go confront the murderous stalker outside your window as if he didn’t prove how dangerous he is gifting you exactly what he said he would. And without your trusty butcher knife? Oh shucks looks like you don’t actually want to kill him subconsciously huh?

Call me crazy but I do love a “touch her, and I’ll kill you” trope 🫣bonus points when the good bad guy takes the opportunity to rid of the world of actual bad bad guys.

Officially feeling oddly hooked, 7 chapters in. Definitely already see just how dark and twisty this is gonna be.

Started this, read 2 chapters and Put this down for about a month.
First 2 chapters did not hook me in.

By about chapter 40 is when things started to get “I can’t put it down” good. Definitely didn’t think there would be lesbian sex scenes, mildly disappointed that it takes our FMC so long into the book to have major character development and moments. Definitely enjoying the changing pov.

So far it’s intriguing. I don’t mind the changing between pov.
