Inside a Waterstones, in the middle of our Cotswold Christmas getaway, Kyle recommended this book to me on the basis that I’d like the plot and the main character. Although the jury’s still out on the former, the latter is so far mostly true!

Can't bring myself to start Gordon's final chapter - so many 'what ifs' and, having seen how the other story lines pan out, there's more weight and hope to this one, perhaps unfounded hope
