this has been exhausting, I guess I don't have the patience for main character who hate themselves

i really don't like how the author keeps abruptly ending paragraphs with '—' to build up tension, it feels cheap. it was the same with we used to live here, i thought he'd have grow up out of it by now

"Você acha que eu minto para você?
Não.
Mas você acha que talvez eu minta para você sobre morrer.
Acho."

'Você acha que, quando uma coisa o deixa apavorado, pode simplesmente se afastar dela e esquecer. Mas a verdade é que ela nem está seguindo você. Está à sua espera. E sempre vai estar.'

i don't think I'm going very far with this one, mara is so conveniently stupid. why not ask to see pictures of you two together? Who goes out to buy groceries with no money? Who doesn't know how turn off a light? There's no mention of her things in this house she supposedly lives in for two years. Meh.

the characters feel so one sided 😑
