I’m not sold on this yet …

Not feeling overly sympathetic, despite knowing she was indoctrinated into this way of life and thinking.

So far I’m hating the love story. Somehow the writing surrounding that part seems so bland. And I truly dislike the “partially-southern-twang” writing in Calvin’s chapters. It feels noncommittal and just a shallow effort to make him feel more “country.”
