I didn’t stay up until 2am and read over 220 pages last night 👀 oops, at least it was a Friday…

Ahhhh this is such a good sequel, I can’t put it down! Commute flew past this morning because I was so engrossed. Dark, thrilling and sexy!

Sadly I’m still feeling this is too YA and simple for me. But it’s an easy read and I want to find out what happens.

Even though this is rated very highly, I’m struggling to get into it. At the moment it’s reading like a basic, predictable YA fantasy and lacking in depth. I like the magic system though and I hope it picks up.

Sure enough, I am LOVING the book of one of my favourite films.

Guessed the plot twist (it was pretty obvious) but an entertaining read.

I would die for Rocky. Protect Rocky at all costs!

I got actual goosebumps when Catherine rode out on a horse, followed by 14,000 soldiers, to ride to Peter III to insist he abdicated.

My first non-fiction history book since completing my history degree is going well! Matisse’s writing style is easy to follow and reads like a story - a very nice change from the heavy history books I would read as a student.

It’s an incredible story and I can’t believe the life that Catherine lived through. Having to stop myself googling ahead and getting spoilers!

Wanted to read this before I watch it in the cinema in the next few weeks.

I am loving this sooo much more than I thought I would! I mean I shouldn’t be surprised - it is an immersive story about Shakespeares family set in the Tudor times - aka Chloe’s dream.

Such beautiful descriptions, so immersive, absolutely loving it.
