Had to stop reading this book when the underground railroad was portrayed as an actual underground railroad. At that point the book seemed more like science fiction.
I do not understand how this book could win the pulitzer prize with such a crucial error in the history of the underground railroad. Why didn't Colson Whitehead research history before writing about it?
