The Periodic Table is a wonder. The book begins with some points of interest then goes into the history of its development at the point I am at. The quantitative (atomic) qualitative (share secondary properties (such as interactivity) underlying mathematics and it “periodic” nature of repeating like a musical scale — all point to a designer. A creator.

There is no book I have ever read that is more significant to a deeper theological and cultural understanding on any biblical theme. If you plan to teach on Luke 15, Mark 6 or any Shepherd passage— you need this book. If you want your reading on this theme to transform you. Read this book.

This book is brilliant and insightful. Eric Metaxas calls it the most important book of the 20th century. It is a critique of modern secularism from a vantage point you have never read before.

A straightforward, mocking and crude attack on the Christian worldview as represented in Voltaire’s day. The problem of evil in light of this being the best possible world is front and center— so far. I am enjoying it!

Beautiful description of the first familiar sentence. He warns to not pass over the LORD too quickly for the metaphor. He then weaves the transcendence and imminence of God our personal and corporate shepherd. The discussion on the fire and the bush is excellent
