well here we go

this book has been sitting on my shelves for years ... 4 years to be precise. i received it from my boss at the end of internship way back in year 3 of uni. i guess i didn't pick it up because running, ugh. non-fiction, ugh. and i'm not a fan of murakami.

but someone i follow on GR finished it recently and i just finished a book, so i figured, why not?

Lifang is boring and annoying af.

The. dialogue. is. so. fucking. awkward. Kill me now.

Had so much hope going into this - a book about dragon-like creatures by a local writer?! Sign me up! This hope is rapidly dying ... withering ... being crushed beneath the inelegant story-telling and clumsy af telling-not-showing. But I'm preserving. Maybe it takes some time for the story to pick up and the rest of the book is totes worth it? Fingers crossed
