Oh my god, this book is hilarious

Help! I got myself into a crap situation where I signed up to review this book for an academic journal (that I love and that is very important to my career) a few months ago. I am already past the deadline, but I cannot bring myself to read about or review anything JKR-related! Argh what to do!! I am so stressed about this!

This book is only good when they quote other people LMAO. unfortunately for me, I already read those other people and then some (hey ladies! People of color who are not Lorde exist and even write books sometimes!)

I don't actually need three white ladies translate Lorde for me 🙄🤷‍♀️🙄

A note:I'm reading the arc from Netgalley, and it's edited terribly (what gives?), like, whole paragraphs are our of order, but also every time a word has two fs (i.e. effort, etc), both fs are missing? Every.Single.Time! How does that even happen, ya know? What.

Tbh I never watch the Green brothers YouTube thing or read any of John Green novels, and, frankly, now nothing about them except the bare minimum every person on Tumblr is required by law to know, but I'm really enjoying this novel. I like the style, it reminds of Robin Sloan minus all the Google ass-kissing, so we will see where this goes!

This book is a fucking trip so far! I'm loving it.... Trigger warning for a very explicit queer-bashing scene and transphobic violence, also for kidnapping.

TBH it's a kind of a silly and not at all profound sci-fi/thriller novel, but I can't put it down 🤷

I have not enjoyed a book this much in years....
