I had just started To A God Unknown when I was at home, and felt this one calling out to me. The prologue and first chapter hooked me in a way that nothing else has. This is the most hyped I’ve been reading something in a while

This is not as deep as people make it out to be. If you view this as some profound text, you’re going to have a horrible time. If you’re here to just catch a vibe and not think too much about it, you’ll like it

Maybe about a fifth of the way through this, and I’m having trouble figuring out if I like DFW’s writing style. It’s flashy and dazzling, but I’m trying to trying to decide if I’m having fun reading this. So far his dialogue is a lot more compelling than his prose.

The only thing keeping me locked in is I have a habit of LOVING music that I start out not liking, so TBD
