yeah I’m reading this bc I’m an emerald fennell hater and want to be able to properly critique her movie

Big Book of the Year…let’s see if I’ll finish this

I have very sadly given up on this book 😖

this book somehow is feeling denser than infinite jest 😵‍💫 but im committed to finishing

took a 10 day break from reading this while on vacation and I actually missed reading about the characters and the world

half way through update: this is def a challenging read but i'm reading it quicker than i expected. this is much more of a character study and exploration of ideas than a story with a traditional plot. i really enjoy reading about Hal and ennet house, but the so far I'm finding the whole Quebec separatist sub plot hard to follow. crazy how much the ideas about media consumption resonate with the world's today
