Current book club read. Vastly different than we were expecting and not enjoying it. Sad because I’ve read another book by this author that I loved! Pop

So different than Jeneva’s other books. It’s gripping!

Mary Kubica is a great thriller author. I’ve enjoyed this audio reading so far.

This book is sooooo boring. Not like the first two at ALL. It should be renamed “the housewife’s diaries.” I cannot believe I’ve read 40/80 chapters and hardly anything has happened at all.

Emily Henry's witty banter is at it again! It's a light and fun read.

Very intriguing so far! The short chapters make the reading fly by.

Loving Emily Henry's witty banter again. Similar to Book Lovers, but different details. It's easy to cheer for the two main characters and their budding relationship.

Very repetitive but a unique story line so far.

Current Book Club read. LOOOOTS of characters & backstory and every single person in this family is messed up. So much drama and I am drinking the tea lol

Strong start!! Grabbed my attention right away. What are these deep dark secrets?!

DNF @ 45%. Switched to the audiobook which is slightly better but there is not enough momentum in the ACTUAL storyline. Sam and I have decided to reshelve this and will finish the audio on the next road trip.

First time reading a book in the 20s era and I’m loving it!

This book started off strong but the last 40 pages have felt like a sophomore’s essay looking for the largest word count. This author writes entire chapters using pronouns and then finally reveals which characters he’s talking about at the very end of the chapter. Me and my husband are reading it out loud and the flashbacks are too confusing. I’m giving it til Pg 100 before I DNF and move on.

I'm enjoying the story despite the fact that I don't normally like reading about crime scene investigations. Had to dive into this one since Tiktok!
