Oh My Lanta...Dalinar Kholin has come into his own & it is truly Magnificent!! 🙌

Oh my Lanta...that was probably THE most chilling murder scene I have ever read...just as an FYI to anyone looking to dive into Sanderson; Words of Radiance has a graphic murder scene but, somehow, it fits the story & helps round out a certain character to make you understand them better.

Just nearly halfway through & I'm thoroughly enjoying Words of Radiance; more than I enjoyed The Way of Kings. The plot is just racing along & Things are Happening & Coming Together & it's magnificent. Sanderson's character development is fantastic!!

Slow, deep world-building & character arcs. Sanderson really knows his characters well & it's giving me loads of writerly inspiration & guidance👌

From Ch. 30 • Sunday Dinner • onward is my faaavourite part of the novel (mmkay, maybe from Ch. 27 • The Captain Returns • haha) I actually modeled it sort of on the last 10-ish chapter of The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy where everything just CAREENS to the end with so much adrenaline 😍

I dunno, I just really love these characters & this story-world 😭 Ohh yes, there's bias in there 'cause I'm the author haha buut this tale has taken on a life of its own apart from me & re-reading it is like re-visiting old friends 🖤

Finished editing Ch. 18!! Officially about halfway done with Draft Two 🙌

Finished editing Ch. 17!! 🙌 Getting reall close to the halfway mark, all praise to the King, & I'm grateful 😊

Finished editing Ch. 16!! 🙌 I think I'm about nearing the halfway mark, though I'm not sure how many chapters Draft 2 will end up having...Draft 1 had 23 chapters & I'm thinking Draft 2 will have around 35-ish, mayyybe 40.

Finished editing Ch. 12 today!! 🙌 Things are starting to pick up now that I'm not writing any new chapters for a bit & have finally gotten to old ones I've already written.
