I just finished the first short story, A Nasty Business. I think Dostoevsky would’ve done really well on Zoloft

Just here to rage scream for a sec

I feel bad for the cyclops tbh

Oh so it’s canon that Ciri was the cause of the bubonic plague

Creepy slow burn

My god they are SO CUTE I have butterflies

I’m teeheeing and kicking my feet and imagining Henry Cavill as the male protagonist, SUE ME

Even after he learns her name, he still calls her “girl” every other line of dialogue and it makes me want to scream (in a bad way)

I’m kind of obsessed??? I like it so much at this point that I’m scared it’s going to disappoint

Who thinks I can finish this 700 page tome by the end of the month

I considered DNFing until a hot makeout scene so here we are. Is this Victorian smut?

Ronald Reagan made it more difficult and dangerous to strike, rest in piss RR

Jesus I’ve got to take a break from existential crisis/confronting your mortality books

Fyodor my dude I love you but this cannot be your magnum opus. Shamefully sparks notesing the monk’s chapter IM SORRY

Teehee. An enemies to lovers fantasy novel?? I eat this shit up!!!

I think I just hate reading sex as described by men. I fucking hate the narrator

A little smut is good for the soul

I love women

About halfway done with this book but it’s an absolute banger. A history lesson that everyone needs a refresher on.

“It was much more honorable to protect a Black woman than to have you die…in the trenches of Europe, fighting to make the world safe for a democracy that you can’t enjoy.”

“‘What’s the point of all this?’ is a question that separates humans from other animals. Our curiosity around this issue has sparked everything from science to literature to philosophy to religion. When the answer to this question is ‘Because God deemed it so,’ we might feel comforted. But what if the answer to this question is ‘I don’t know,’ or worse still, ‘Nothing’?”

“[My mother] was a matter-of-fact kind of woman, not a cruel woman, exactly, but something quite close to cruel.”

🙃🙃🙃 my mommy issues are eating this up

My friend is starting a leftist book club if anyone would like to join!

I love to torture myself reading books like this

😭😭😭

Bruh I’m 28 years old and just learned what a Roth IRA is

The story’s a bit intriguing but I’m unsure if I like the narrative style. It’s set up like an interview and feels kind of flat. Curious to see how (and if) characters develop this way

I love King Arthur’s website for all their recipes, but it’s so nice to have it all in one place. I usually don’t count cookbooks towards my reading goal (should I?) but this one has so much reading material outside of the recipes
