killing someone off first chapter? omg i just know this book is going to be fun

i always dislike miserable books like this, where you’re taken into the life of a minority character and nothing gets better for them. really hoping the mc can catch a break

it’s more like a comedy/horror book but it’s really sweet

these characters are so insufferable that it genuinely subtracts from the horror, i actually can’t get immersed with the spookiness because of how annoying all the characters are

every alternating sentence the dad contemplates beating his kid or leaving him at every stop 😭😭 this is spanish translated so i bet in the original he says “es por tu bien”

this meets the exact formula of my type of book: gay + dark horror + monsters

also evil buddha ??? dude this book is turning out to be such a fun read

“ariyah, who was trans, wished to pay her respects to notorious cocksucker donatello by visiting his femboy statue of david” …. one more millennial, quirky joke and this book is getting DNF’d

goal is to finish this book before 2024 ends !!
