Am I going through a book slump...maybe is this book helping? I thought it would but so far I am left a little confused at times with the beginning of this book.
Book one of this series was my favourite. I was hooked. I am hoping it picks up...this may be a slump on my behalf so I have faith 🙏

Im tempted to put this book on hold. Its dragging a little. I wanted to love it. The banter is good here and there but repetitive and I'm missing action...like everything feels really slow...ill try return as it could be the mood I'm in.

I am enjoying parts of this book but then alot of it is quite predictable.

Spoiler alert -

Like Shock horror Rorrik is actually a good guy. Shock Arvelle rekindles things with Tiernon almost immediately... I'm following along but some parts of this story feel really dragged out which leads to the odd skip a page here. Hoping it gets better as the reviews were amazing...

Listening through audiobook...so far a tiny bit predictable but also enjoyable to listen to...will gove it more time before slamming it.

I cannot put this book down and am so happy to have a book like this...its been a while.
So many emotions.
Each time I think I know where the next few pages will go it changes.

Dnf...its just too predictable... nothing was keeping me engaged.
It had such good reviews so perhaps this is personal.

This book is dragging for me... I had high hopes as the reviews were good, but it's just so damn predictable - 😑 😒 🙄
Where are the twists and turns, excitement... I am a little bored but will push through for another bit...

Trudging along here...it is quite predictable and frankly forgettable.
Easy enough to read but not gripping either. Will persist for now but I cannot see myself reading the whole series. 🫣

Up and down so far...some parts are better than others.
Skipping through a small bit which is a shame as books 1-3 I loved...

Still going....definitely got me out of my slump. It's a bit predictable but an easy read...

Listening in audio and it is not disappointing, the twists and turns are fast...loving this book.

On pause right now. It's a slow hard read and I'm in a bit of a slump...I hope it gets better.

Why is this dragging and i am finding it so hard to get into...I have alot on generally in life so maybe it's me...I might have to pause and come back it's driving me a bit mad...

3.5 star hoping it will be a 4 star ending... I am a bit up and down with this last book. It feels some parts are dragged on a bit.
Will persist.

DNF. I can't take this book seriously.

It's definitely picked up and getting more exciting! Happy reader returns.

This is starting a bit slow....maybe it gets better...I had such high expectations!!!! 😳

I'm not sure I'm feeling this...might put on pause right now...I know I just started and maybe it grips you a little later...

I don't know why I can't get into this...just hoping it's more engaging down the track....will pick back up again soon.

Love love love. Took a break for a few hours and the first thing I did when I came home was jump right back into the world of the sea, sirens, betrayal and so much more....
