5/5!!! It’s been a while since I read a really good book!! There were like 2 times where I didn’t love the sentiment of a passage but I understood/respect its presence (aka love is great and changes you for the better but never give up or even let yourself get close to giving up everything you wanted before you met your partner just to keep them!!! live life for you, not another person!!)

I will not be rating this because I feel like I can’t do it properly since it took me so long to get through because of finals but as for my thoughts - this is not what I thought I picked to read at all! I thought it was about a queer screenwriter in Hollywood and the experiences that come with that and it is that in a way but through a horror-AI lens

I am truly so lost and it doesn't help that I am only reading sporadically (because finals)

this is not what i thought i was getting myself into but i am intrigued

4/5 - i liked it! lots of characters which can be confusing but i enjoyed the multiple intertwining (but not heavily so) storylines

Slowly but surely getting through this book (it’s not bad, just busy and sometimes I need to not think about what I’m listening to)

this was the felt like longest and was def the most predictable book i have ever read in my lifetime thus far - 2.5/5

some of these characters are terrible people and idk if i even like the main character but now I'm in it sooo we shall see

3.5/5 - entertaining but a bit too long, some unnecessary chapters/characters (pov changes every chapter), and a bit predictable after like 30% of the way through

3/5 - not quite sure what rules were broken

3.25/5 - I was really into this but the quality deteriorated as the story went on and it was certainly too long. I also was like “oh? That’s it?” when it comes to the story behind the mom but maybe in 2025 it doesn’t seem as serious with the rest of the stuff going on in the world ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows

3.5/5 - it would’ve been better if it was shorter

3.75 / 5 - this was a very easy read, read it in about 3 sittings today. I liked it but I think weiner could’ve chosen something better, or at least different, to base the plot on other than body size. tbh that’s my main critique of this book and why my rating for it is what it is. I always (unknowingly) pick books that take place in philly suburbs tho so that was fun

?/5 - I will not be giving this one a specific star rating but I do know that I think the first in the series is the best. I think it was too long so it took me a while to read which is part of the reason I’m not rating it because I think if I sat down and read it all in like 2 days I would’ve liked it more

higher than a 3.75 but lower than a 4/5 - it was an easy read, interesting story but I didn’t realize I was reading a book w/I a book until the end. I thought the prologue was about the author of the actual book so

4/5 - a beautiful depiction of mental health and OCD specifically. I think it finally convinced me that I don’t have OCD, just lots and lots of anxiety and no compulsions thankfully (still not 100% sure tho but more like 90% now compared to the previous 30%)

I am still working on this, I can only read so much of it at a time tho. I know I’d like it more if I just sat down all day and read it but I simply don’t have the desire to do that with this book

4/5 - an entertaining read, but the ending was a bit boring. I wish there was a epilogue of them months or years later
