The more I learn about Spinoza, the more I like him.

Finished this round of review, so putting on hold for now. Hopeful about the final product, but more to come later.

Volunteered as a manuscript reviewer for this one, so expect updates, if any, to be based on early, unedited, and possibly unreleased material.

I think this may be my favorite Moorcock collection yet. Not sure why it took me so many years to get around to reading his work.

Apparently I tried reading this one before back in 2008, but I have ZERO memory of that attempt. I recently read The Friendly Orange Glow, about the development of the PLATO computer system where Richard Powers, the author of this book, was mentioned as one of the participating characters. I was intrigued enough by the description to pick this up. So far it's pulling me in, so we'll see how it goes.

I should have known better given who wrote this. At one point he repeats this disproven and ridiculous idea: "During moments of excitement, Grandma Herbert would lapse into Old English, a dialect spoken in her family for centuries. Sometime in the 1600s, her ancestors had immigrated to the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee, and in certain enclaves the old dialects were preserved and spoken."

I'm not yet finished, but nearly so. I can say with certainty, this is going on my list of highly recommended reads for anyone in engineering management. No, your job may not be to handle the product management responsibilities, but understanding the challenges they face and being a good partner to them is crucial to success in most software projects.
