Honestly kinda dark for a kids book.. I get having representation but there comes a point where you want to have at least one stable/secure adult represented. Especially in a kids book.

I am learning quite a bit. Highly readable. HOWEVER.
The author definitely has a strong voice in this book, especially for a history textbook. So many adjectives and quite a bit of fluffy language. It’s distracting and makes me question his credibility. It might be all legitimate. But there isn’t a true bibliography and no citations throughout.
It is kindof driving me crazy.

I know the cover looks cheesy. And they are cheesy. But also very funny 😂
