Abandoning at about a third of the way through. This is a memoir, not a book about friendship. Perhaps a good fit for fans of the authors’ podcast, but absolutely zero interest to anyone else.

Abandoned after ~50 pages. Almost turned around right at the front door because of Picoult pitching the idea of a death doula who hasn’t contemplated her own mortality (the literal first step in death work???)

Pretty sure Picoult just wanted an excuse to read up on Ancient Egypt and have it technically be work-related and tax deductible, which, honestly? Fair. I’m not gonna read it though.

Never have I read a book so much like poetry. Evaristo’s writing and narrative both flow like water.

Darling and laugh-out-loud funny by turns. The best vampire romance I will ever read.

Vivid and beautiful. I cannot wait to see more from Tseng.
