I have to take a break from this one. It's over a thousand pages and the library asked for it back. But also, I'm really struggling with the chapter on the missionaries because for one thing, we know the impact they had on... everywhere, and it bums me out. Plus, the character of Abner is so insufferable that I was almost grateful to the library for emailing me about it.

This captain does not run a tight ship. Why is no one radioing ahead to report anything that's going on on this ship?

Is Drew the only likeable character? I think so.
