I would love to CTRL F the manuscript and search for the word For. My guess is that you’d have to go back to the 1940s to find a book that uses that word more.
What do I mean?
Well, I read this book, for I like reading. It annoyed me at first, for the reader spoke like he was from a different era. I had to Google his age, for he spoke and acted like he was 60 years old.
That said, you do get over it.
