God I haven’t read historical romance since JULY!!!! I missed it

So amped to start this because I have the absolute privilege of knowing Isabelle irl!!!

Very excited to start this!! I’m not sure I’ll like it, but it feels like an important installment in the romance canon

I can have a monster book … as a post-bar treat (I’ve never denied myself a monster book)

Finally got the audiobook off hold, and I can’t remember much of what happened in the previous book. I’m also not sure I care to actually continue this story… we will see!

I’m thoroughly enjoying this I think in large part because I don’t know the story of King Arthur in its original form, so it’s all new to me.

However when I see everyone else posting romance novels I feel a little feral because I miss them!!! Romance soothes the soul (yes I’m also reading a romance novel rn on audio lol)

Something I love about this series is how the characters meet each other where they are. They don’t get magically fixed by love, they don’t give up their professions or lives outside the relationship. They’re just broken or hurt people learning to love and finding ways to make things work. It’s all good!!!!

Literally on chapter 5 and this man is so tortured I’m OBSESSED
