Pages 114-117 is such a sensory overload. While I was reading thise pages i was listening to music and it made me really immersed in the chapter. So immersed i started to feel kinda dizzy cause too much was happening at a time. Tom's grief didn't help at all

I feel like this teaching job might've been a terrible choice since he is always having trouble staying in the present. Also i think our mc might've indirectly killed his friend

Wow. Like wow. Even though this merchant is giving "I'm not like other girls" vibe, I'm like impressed that he even has the freedom to think and act like this. Elend was the one who gave him the freedom to do so and even though it's biting him in the ass, I'm so impressed how far they've come.

I have 50 pages left of this book and there are so many questions left unanswered.
1. Who is mask really?
2. Why is the goddess attacking the city?
3. Why exactly are the other gods pressed to control the city?
4. What happened to the other sea brides? (Well I guess that's kind of been explained)

Overall the story ain't it. It feels disjointed and doesn't flow well.

Man the Sea God is irritating the hell out of me. People are dying and both realms are in chaos because of him and all he can do is cry and feel sad.

Like I get it, you did something terrible and it's haunting you but people are literally dying because of you so can you be mature and stop wallowing in a pit of your own misery?
It's really starting to grate on my nerves

This is looking like another 3 star read. The pace is... meh and so is the story. For a world filled with magical beings, it doesn't feel too magical

My progress has been slow but not because I don't like this book. Just life.

But now that I'm making an effort to read it consistently, I have to say, I really like this book. Like it has my full attention and focus and I love it so much
