3/28 Care across a copy in cafe and read Preface, skim read Introduction and Chap 5 (mulberry)

Previously read a version on 微信读书 based on the 帛书order.
Rereading now based on the 传世本/王弼 order. Simultaneously going thorough these two versions:
1. (Hardcopy) 道德经 许结 宋永祥 译注 人民文学出版社2025
2. （eBook） 道德经 【春秋】李耳/黄善卓 译 江西人民出版社2016

Read preface and skimmed some parts while at the used bookstore in Anacortes

Read foreword, introduction & Part I: There Never Was a West

Completed through chapter 3 of the audio book. Leaving off for now to hopefully come back to and finish in the near future, preferable with a hard copy book. Will be a useful reference for future research.

A quote from the closing: “For half a millennium, the American instinct has been to build newer cities on more distant hills. Now that so much of Humanity has landed in cities, a difference utopian predisposition must take hold. Rather than continue to set sail, we must now finally resolve to stay, and improve.”

Read preface, introduction & postscript, looked through photo section, and skimmed parts of several chapters. Mixed feelings with the preface and intro but does seem like the book has some good historical info and conclusion of book makes some good points.
