huge day for finishing books i never finished lol

now i remember why i never finished this before lol

we are so back

a harrowing soundtrack to organizing closest

there are some moments so far that have been so tender and beautiful but also it feels kinda overwritten

so far reminding me of real life by brandon taylor both in its depth of character and sort of slice of life narration. benson’s parts are narrated by the author and he reads it so well

the reading experience so far has been almost crying in the grocery store while listening to this because the emotions affect is so strong

dare i say a perfect autumn read

this is for grade 10 english again and so far so good!

very distinct voice and style and im enjoying it so far!

not my favourite emily austin so far but i am liking it! the beginning just felt a little repetitive but it's starting to pick up now

i have not finished a book in so long and had to return a ton before leaving kingston but this is me trying to read a book lol

it’s fall so it’s campus novels season. i am also eating this up

my problem with audiobooks is sometimes i fall asleep and miss crucial plot information and then end up halfway through and slightly confused. although i am having a good time

my evening/weekend plans:

ok i figured out my problem with this. it’s 98% plot and 2% everything else stringing it together. there are so many plot events that are all treated with the same importance and then there’s very little thematic or character development because of that. it’s just EVENT EVENT EVENT and it keeps going at 10/10 intensity for most of the book

if i’m being honest i still have no idea what is going on

this is gonna be a good one i feel it on the inside of my bones (i will never not quote nadja from wwdits)

so confused LOL i feel like every time i take a break from reading this i forget EVERYTHING. im listening to the audiobook and i'll just be doing the dishes and then all of a sudden there's a vampire? ok

please i have no idea what’s going on i don’t remember enough of ninth house

obviously this is so good but also i already know 80% of my review will be me being mad at anne carson's introduction

i forget most of ninth house which might be a problem but let’s go i guess lol

i have one day left on this library loan and if i don’t finish the book then i won’t try to borrow again. unfortunately kind of a miss!
