Very underwhelmed by stories thus far, with exception to LeGuin's contribution and an solid personal essay on the lack of people of color in mainstream science fiction. These are supposed to be subversive stories revolving around sex and gender, but so far they focus on the punishingly realities of what it's like to be a woman in patriarchal society. Irritating waste of time.

It's got some good shit, for sure. But fuck that Larissa Lai story––it's a Blade Runner fanfic about Rachel and it's not even an interesting one. Disgusted you can be published in a post-colonial spec fic anthology with some unimaginative trash like that.
