I kept wondering why i keep reading and reading but I'm making very little progress... it's because every eight pages on my kindle = one page. So if i read 80 pages, I've actually only read 10 pages. So this book is not actually 160 page quick read that i thought it was gonna be... 😒🤦🏽‍♀️

This book is not something you rush through. You sit with the grief. You feel the unrelenting sun and humidity. You acknowledge the depth that slavery carved into so many lives in the Americas and Caribbean Islands. So much devastation. Emancipation is just a word if the people are still in bondage.

In my humble opinion, this couple is insane. The decisions that they made while building their Yacht were stupid and reckless. Then after being lost at sea for 118 and 1/3 days, they decide to rebuild and set sail again!! 🤯
I can't even.... 😑🫣🙅🏽‍♀️
