I was originally reading The Elements which is this authors collection of 4 novellas (water, earth, fire, air). I just finished Water which I really liked, and enjoy how it connects with this story Earth. I think I'm going to stop after reading this one, however, because I didn't realize the theme of sexual abuse would be throughout all of them, and it is a little too tough to read about considering current events
