My biggest pet peeve is a) over simplifying Irish history b) Authors using Irish history as backdrops, without really explaining/understanding etc. the full impact of said event… but what I CANNOT tolerate…. Is an incorrect statement about Irish history from an Irish author. Bro, cmon now.
