I just can't finish this one. I'm 3/4 in and keep wanting to be done. Well, I'm closing it.

Erika is reading KIDFUN: 400 Fun and Easy Ideas for Kids Ages 2 to 8
I consider this book a good resource for engaging littles with creative activities. I could see myself using this as a recipe book for road trip games, or party play.

I read this as part of a book club and wasn't sure that I would get much out of the read as I didn't identify envy as a sin I struggle with. But this read has highlighted some unexpected envy roots. Tilly does a great job of admonishing her reader to look for Christ glory is others in a battle to defeat envy. I would recommend this book to all Christian women.

Erika is 25% done with Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy
Thus far, I am convinced every study of the early 1900's and WWII should include the reading of this book... There is much first hand wittness to Bonhoeffer's ideologies and his understanding of the changing worldviews of his peers. First, he was an avid journaler. He also maintained a intimate relationship with his family and wrote them often from abroad. Finally, the transcrips of his sermons and academic writings.

As a history lover I fully expected to enjoy this book, but this book greatly exceeded my expectations. The author engages you to every setting and character intimately describing each one. In these noteworthy descriptions, the reader is transported to the emotional battlefield of the author. It is an emotional journey of which Christ emerges victorious. This is a must read.
