I might go back and finish it, but this is truly a ridiculous book. And that's me going in with the mentality of "Dont take is seriously! Think of it as a satire book!"
I think im just in a place that I need a story and I need character growth. From the spark notes of book 1 and 2, that doesnt happen.

I feel bamboozled! This was the February book club pick and, upon the reveal, I was told there is an actual storyline and it wasnt just smut. I have made it to ch 20 and the most Ive gotten out of the story is everyone is immature and they constantly need to get it on. Im pretty sure 50 Shades had more storyline...and that's just sad!

And you should consider finding someone who would wait longer than a fart's lifespan before throwing you under the bus.

If you are going to read this book, I strongly suggest reading the physical or kindle version. The audiobook is rather confusing. The chapters are VERY long and you switch between character POVs. It's difficult to keep try of whose head you are in. 😵‍💫

Honestly, this was not at the top of my TBR. Ive heard a lot of mixed reviews so I planned on basically skipping it. However, my bookclub picked Mate to be our next read and I've been told it refers to Bride when it comes to world building. So here we are.

And I will say, Im enjoying myself so far! Im a BIG sucker for books with good banter and this book has some GOOD banter.
