I feel like I just didn't "get it".

The juxtaposition between the dinner reservations and the designer clothes descriptions are even more jarring with how many girls Bateman is graphically murdering 💀

This book is a great satire of the New York upper classes but my god it's painful to read depictions of rich people having first world problems in fancy designer clothes described in excruciating detail fifty times over. Also it's so graphic and has hordes of racist and derogatory language which makes it even worse to read.
