I loved the first two books but I find myself growing ever frustrated at the sheer stubbornness of Mallory in regards to her relationship—which is rather will-they-won't-they-but-they-care-deeply-for-one-another—with Chris. I find her speeches to Slaone and Nic falling flat because she won't do it herself. Why should those two heed your words when you don't practice what you preach?
