I just finished Leaving Berlin: A Novel. I am not one to read spy novels, but started reading this book because I wanted to learn more about post WWll Germany/Berlin...and what a good book and horrible time. Now I want to know more ...I can't take the textbook stuff very well, but love good historical fictional based largely on fact!

I just finished The Goldfinch: A Novel (Pulitzer Prize for Fiction) and gave it 4 stars. A very good read...and yes, very Dickensonian...but I do love Dickens! I hope someday I get to see The Goldfinch in person!
