i am sensitive and this book is kicking my ass

i finally picked this one up and am already traumatized. idk what i expected

i misguidedly thought that ammonite 2020 was based off this book and was very confused about its promotional materials. anyway, a strayed operation, plague, drama, intrigue, folklore, homoeroticism... more my thing than period dramas.
