Maybe it's the notes in the back recommending HSUS and PETA as resources for homeowners, but I'm finding it hard to stay motivated and finish this book, even though it's the PPLD community wide reading program pick.

I'm sure I've read The Hobbit when I was younger, but I am so surprised by the light hearted tone of the book. Not a diss, just surprised.

Does a Kentuckian need a reason to feel homesick? No; but reading these poems makes me yearn for home.

I'm not gonna lie, yall...this one is kinda dragging. In the other books, I've admired how well Sanderson does the progression of religion, technology and magic - but this book almost feels TOO expansive. I'm going to finish it, but I'm gonna complain about it a little at first...

I swear to whatever the fuck asleep gods are in this world - if we don't get the threesome scene in the next book, I will light this series on fire. I'm skimming entire chapters without missing a single essential plot point. I'll read these books once a month - when I'm ovulating & even then it's excruciating. Apparently I'm into some weird sexual denial bc this book gives me nothing & I keep coming back for more.

Had to return to library - on page 287 - waiting for my hold to come back around. I'm in the thick of it - I'll finish the book, but definitely dragging right now.

Mom suggested this book - it’s really good so far although maybe I would suggest not watching The Last of Us while reading. Apocalypse overload.
