So many 19th century revolutionary neuroscientists were so unimaginably racist and disgusting in a way that makes this book feel like fiction. We will never be able to undo the poisoning of lives and evil that racist, misogynistic, colonialist “science” has done. And every one of these men will remain lauded and recognized.
