Very hard to get through this book. Verity is just not interesting in any sense of the word. I feel like I’m coming down from the high of the dukes books. It’s all over the place, still many unanswered questions, emotionally I feel like she hasn’t gotten anywhere with Lex. No adressing the drug abuse, did he just stop?

what a tedious book to get through. Nothing is happening! Not storywise nor emotionally between the characters.

Very very slow and boring. The MC kidnaps her again and then just keeps her at the house while he does his job out there. They barely interact, barely have any conversation YET their inner dialogue is like " I have to make him understand that this life isn't for me" and he's like " I have to change my ways before she leaves me" and nothing ever happens.

We are in the hood now baby but also why did it take 7 books to get here??

It’s everything I ever wanted. It packs an emotional punch, the characters are relatable and I actually like them. The smut so so good. OH

Took me a year to actually get through this book and I still hate Killian and Story together

Her fighting Haley is one of the lamest things they could've added in this book.
Also like everyone is always so self rightious when they should be groveling. Simon saying that he might have fucked up but simoultaenously alluding that Remy might be worse because he borke her heart?? Like ??? where do you even get off saying something like that?

dnf'd at around 31%. Didn't like this dynamic at all. I don't undersatnd why she had to comprimise so much just to be with two people who weren't doing enough to show that they wanted and needed her in their lives. Everything in their dynamic revolved around Drafli and his sensibilities. The fact that Baldr was expecting Alma to make the same sacrifices he made for Drafli just to be with him????? My guy like fuck off
