Upon death, we fill inevitably face judgement. Our judgement comes with three realizations. First, we will finally "know who we are." In clearer terms, our moral state will be revealed to us as it was formed by our actions. Secondly, we will understand God's Divine Justice. The destination (hell or Heaven) is a choice made by the self. Last, our God, in his man form of Jesus Christ, will be revealed as our Judge.

I am enjoying this book so far…

Good!

I actually really like the way Darling and Sisterson explain all the science. I just get a little overwhelmed with info sometimes but that is also because I have poor reading habits and a low attention span. Hopefully I get better at reading in the future because this book is packed with a bunch of good stuff!

I love how Darling and Sisterson are not afraid to confront the skeptics' arguments directly and without hiding valid/convincing points that the opposing side might make. I do wish they would go more in depth at times when the authors assure the readers, us, that some things are truly happening, such as that humans are the leading factor in global warming/disruption. I would like to know more data from research.

I skipped chapters 3-5 in order to read chapters 1,2, and 6 for a class assignment, but I plan on coming back to the reading to finish the book. I am a bit confused on the end of this book. I think Woolf is saying that there should be no sex-consciousness in writing because ideas do not flourish in the minds of others when there is a man-woman distinction. I admire her writing style and agree with her conclusion.

I really enjoy the imagery in this book. Not only do you feel immersed, but you can relate to the events in the story and even experience new feelings thanks to the sometimes silly descriptions of people, places, and words. I hope that by the end of my life I can write as well as Virginia Woolf. Even though I have difficulty finishing this book, I feel like Woolf is an amazing writer like I have never read before.

"For what you see and hear depends a good deal on where you are standing: it also depends on what sort of person you are." The children and the cabby saw such beautiful things, such as when the trees sprung from the earth like little hands with little hands growing from them and so on. The animals saw joy and humor. Uncle Andrew thought about how he could make a profit out of the land, but he was afraid of the lion.

It is interesting to think about how one’s character affects the way they look at beautiful things. The caddy, a kind, optimistic man, is quick to see the beauty in things and be grateful and appreciative. The children and the horse, innocent creatures, are also joyful at the sense of the beautiful sounds and sights. The wicked, the magicians, find the beauty repulsive and feel a need to leave the scene.

I really enjoy how emotions are described through the senses. I also enjoy how the absence of a thing can be felt, actually, with the senses. Sometimes one doesn’t acknowledge these things to be felt physically, or seen, or smelled, or even just acknowledged on the back of one’s mind, but these descriptions are so specific and vivid that you just understand!

I love the imagery, again.
“You could almost feel the trees growing.”
I’m looking forward to reading about how the kids explore different worlds, that is the direction I feel the book is heading towards. I also like how I feel immersed in the book, I can picture myself taking a second to get closer to the ruins and inspecting the dirt between my fingers. Lovely, again!

"Then his face went the wrong sort of shape as it does if you're trying to keep back your tears." This line makes me shape his face in my mind in a way that is so specific to my own emotions. I have to feel as Digory feels in order to also envision it. Wonderful! I also enjoy how the expressions of Uncle Andrew are noticed so clearly such that we can poke at what the intentions behind his actions may be.
